The Lullaby Project
As an International Partner of Carnegie Hall, The Lullaby Project Australia invites parents of young children to take part in a unique six-week songwriting program, in collaboration with three leading musicians at four venues across the Onkaparinga region of South Australia. Through singing, story-telling and personal lullaby writing, the project focusses on family wellbeing, parent to child connection, community and child development.
A community-wide celebratory concert will take place at Hopgood Theatre on Friday 1 November at 4:30pm, featuring the newly written lullabies performed by parent-songwriters and lead artists, accompanied by internationally acclaimed ensembles Zephyr Quartet and Aurora vocal ensemble.
This initiative has been developed through a collaboration of multiple partners who all acknowledge the power of music to improve the lives of individuals and communities. This is the first Lullaby Project to be established in Australia, as part of an International Partnership with Carnegie Hall, New York.
