The Summers Night Project
Inspired by Anne Summers’ ‘Women’s Manifesto’ released in 2017, intended as a blueprint for equality for women in Australia, The Summers Night Project supports and mentors emerging composers who identify as women to create a composition for performances in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne. Presented by Tura New Music, Soundstream and Monash University, the project also acknowledges the support of APRA AMCOS, the Australia Music Centre and Decibel New Music Ensemble.
Works by mentees Olivia Davies (WA), Rachel Bruerville (SA) and Carmen Chan Schoenborn (VIC). Works by mentors Rebecca Erin Smith, Becky Lewellyn and Cat Hope.
