German Grandeur, French Grace
Many composers of the Baroque drew on regional in!uences and no one more effectively than Georg Phillip Telemann. In the 250th anniversary of his death in 1767, our program pays tribute to his mastery of mixed styles. Contemporaries of Telemann: J S Bach, François Couperin, D’Anglebert and Jean-Baptiste Lully are also featured in our musical exploration.
